Relatively cold, spring-like weather to prevail Sunday

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Sunday, bringing relatively cold weather in most parts of the country, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department said in its daily update.

A slight chance for scattered showers is also expected in the northern region during early morning hours, with clouds at low altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

Monday and Tuesday will see another rise in mercury levels, with spring-like weather conditions prevailing countrywide, and easterly moderate winds.

In addition, light showers of rain are forecast Tuesday night in the southeastern regions, with dust- stirring winds.

Mercury in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 15 degrees Celsius and a low of 4C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 23C, sliding to 12C at night.
