IEC: Turnout for local elections at 29.6pct after polls close

 Turnout for the local elections stood at 29.6 percent with 1.363 million votes after the ballot boxes were closed at 07:00.

The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) said around 50 percent of eligible voters who are currently in the Kingdom participated in the elections.
