COVID-19 cases exceed 108.8 million worldwide

The number of people infected with the COVID-19 around the world has reached 108,812,000, while the death toll has surpassed 2,399,000, according to the latest figures by the Johns Hopkins University on Monday.

Meanwhile, some 61 million COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease.

The University data showed that the United States ranks first in terms of the number of COVID-19 infections worldwide, followed by India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Poland, Iran and South Africa.

“The US also tops the list of coronavirus fatalities, followed by Brazil, Mexico, India, the UK, Italy and France,” the figures indicated.
