China sees 18 new imported Covid-19 cases

The Chinese mainland has reported no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, the National Health Commission (NHC) said Saturday.

A total of 18 imported COVID-19 cases were reported across the mainland Friday, the commission said in its daily report. The imported cases were reported in Guangdong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian and Shaanxi.

Moreover, Friday saw 10 asymptomatic cases newly reported, all from abroad, the NHC added.

To date, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the mainland reached 86,325, and the death toll remained at 4,634, according to the commission.
