Mercury levels on Tuesday are expected to rise 3-4 degrees above their annual average, so it will be fair in the highlands and plains, and relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
A further rise in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday. Therefore, relatively hot weather will prevail in most regions, except in the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba where it will be hot, with northeasterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will continue to rise on Thursday, marking 4-5C above their seasonal average, but similar weather conditions will persist with southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD predicted.
Daytimes temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach a high of 32 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 18C at night, while highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to a sizzling 36C, and lows will stand at 24C during night hours.
