Ministry: no COVID-19 transmission recorded in schools

 No coronavirus transmission has been recorded among students or teachers in schools across the Kingdom, the Ministry of Education said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the ministry said that only 14 schools have switched to remote learning since the beginning of the academic year, mainly after recording a number of COVID-19 infections among students and teachers, all of them were in contact with infected persons from outside the schools.

Some 45 other schools have resorted to the distance education, the statement added, noting that no COVID-19 cases were recorded in these schools, but they are located in isolated areas.
