27 killed, 77 others injured in twin explosions in Philippines

 At least 27 people were killed and 77 others injured on Sunday in twin explosions during Mass at a church in Philippines’ Sulu province, police said. 

Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde told the media the blasts hit the Jolo Cathedral at 8.15 a.m, and were caused by improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

He said one went off inside the church, while the second one near its entrance.
