Gendarmerie chief discusses cooperation with UK ambassador

Director General of the Gendarmerie Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh Monday met British Ambassador in Amman Edward Oakden and discussed with him scopes of cooperation between the military agencies of both countries.

At the meeting, the Gendarmerie chief underscored the importance of boosting cooperation between the two countries, including exchanging expertise and professional and technical capacity-building to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.

The envoy hailed the outstanding level reached by Jordanian gendarmes, as well as the good reputation they enjoy at the regional and global levels. He voiced his country’s keenness to further bolster the partnership between the security agencies of the UK and Jordan.
