Pleasant, sunny weather to prevail on Tuesday

 A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, bringing pleasant weather in most regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Strong winds from the northwest will blow across the Kingdom on Wednesday at a speed of more than 50 km/h, stirring dust in the Badia. The temperatures will drop, and the country will see mostly cold weather.

At night, clouds will form at low altitudes, making a modest chance for scattered showers in the northern region.

On Thursday, the mercury is expected to drop even further, falling 7-8 degrees below the annual average. All regions will see cold, partly cloudy weather, with light showers only in the northern and eastern parts of the country.

Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 20 degrees Celsius and a low of 10C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 29C, sliding to 17C at night.
