Cold weather to persist for remainder of week

Cold weather is forecast to prevail in most parts of the country on Tuesday, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds will appear at low altitudes, and winds will be northwesterly moderate, the JMD added.
Similar weather will persist through the week, but Friday will see a slight rise in temperatures to become above annual average, bringing relatively cold weather in most regions. Clouds will appear at different altitudes, making a possibility for scattered showers in the southern parts, with northeasterly light winds.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman today will range between 15 degrees Celsius, dipping into 3C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 23C, dropping to 10C during night hours.
