Thursday, the Secretary General at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Adel Al-Belbisi said that the coronavirus vaccine is available to all citizens and residents of Jordan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the government has put a plan to vaccinate everyone in Jordan, including prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a press statement, Belbisi spoke about the government\u2019s plan to confront the spread of the Indian COVID-19 strain in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, he confirmed that no cases of the Indian mutated strain have been reported in the Kingdom, stressing that the government increased the monitoring process and the readiness of laboratories to deal with the new strain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Belbisi said that all necessary measures have been taken by the government to deal with this strain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the government suspended flights coming to the Kingdom from India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, he said non-Jordanians coming from India to the Kingdom must be subjected to a 14-day quarantine outside the country and Jordanians will be subjected to a 14-day institutional quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With regard to citizens’ questions about the non-formation of antibodies in some of those who received two doses of the Chinese Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, Belbisi explained that the absence of antibodies does not mean that immunity was not formed for those who received the two doses of the vaccine, as the antibodies constitute one of the immunity\u2019s forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
