The Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, said he agreed with the government\u2019s decision to reinstate Friday prayers in mosques and allow worshippers to perform Fajr and Maghrib prayers in mosques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further stated that the country is moving in the right direction, and that he expects measures to be eased soon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
His statements came during an inspection tour of Prince Hamzah Hospital, where Al-Hawari wanted to ensure the safety of the work environment inside the hospital, and ensure all needs are being met. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Hawari stressed that the commitment to preventative measures by citizens will protect Jordan from fully entering a third wave of the coronavirus, and that wearing a mask and social distancing have the same effect as lockdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said administering more vaccines will allow the people of Jordan to enjoy a safe summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Hawari stated out that all hospitals in Jordan have decreased occupancy rates to less than 60 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are optimistic in the coming days.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
