The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health and head of the coronavirus portfolio Wael al-Hayajneh, who resigned Sunday, said Jordanians will get through the crisis in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hayajneh told Roya that there has been a noticeable ‘decrease in the epidemiological situation’ in Jordan but no predictions can be made at this point. He stressed that people need to be cautious of this dangerous virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hayajneh said “It seems that we have reached the peak of the current wave of the coronavirus pandemic, but I am not absolutely sure of that.” He spoke about the indicators related to the COVID-19 situation in Jordan, noting that there has been an increase in the number of coronavirus patients in Intensive Care Units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He called on citizens and residents to be careful during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, and stressed the need to avoid gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
