Tuesday, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that a handful of individuals, including those of Arab nationality, were arrested for participating in gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that Monday a number of gatherings were dealt with in violation of defense orders in several governorates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out that before the 7pm curfew Monday night, participants in those gatherings were instructed to abide by the law and to break up these gatherings in order to preserve public health and implement defense orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The spokesperson confirmed that a large number of participants in those events complied with the warnings and left the gatherings, while a number of others insisted on staying, despite the many warnings that were directed to them, which forced the security men to enforce the law with appropriate force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He indicated that a number of people were arrested in several locations, and legal measures will be taken against all of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stated that a number of public security personnel were injured while carrying out their duties, and are now under treatment, pointing out that a number of public and private properties were subjected to material damage and deliberate sabotage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PSD called on all citizens, and in light of the dangerous COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom, to abide by the law and contribute to limiting the spread of the virus, while staying away from gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
