Employers and recruitment agencies are temporarily relieved from submitting legal or bank guarantees that are normally required when recruiting foreign workers from restricted and unrestricted nationalities, according to a decision taken by Minister of Labor and State Minister for Investment Affairs, Ma’en Qatamin.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In a statement Tuesday, the ministry said the decision aims to assist the private sector, reduce employers’ financial burdens and ensure business sustainability given the exceptional circumstances imposed by the coronavirus crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n However, the ministry indicated that employers with more than 30 non-Jordanian workers are not included in the decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Furthermore, the decision allows eligible employers to access the foreign labor guarantees held with banks and use the amounts to address financial hardships.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The ministry said article 8 of the domestic workers recruitment regulation will remain in force, so will article 11 of the regulation pertaining to the recruitment of non-Jordanians by employers based in qualified industrial zones.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Alshaheen News Employers and recruitment agencies are temporarily relieved from submitting legal or bank guarantees that are normally required when recruiting foreign workers from restricted and unrestricted nationalities, according to a decision taken by Minister of Labor and State Minister for Investment Affairs, Ma’en Qatamin.
