As part of the 12th UN Women Film Week under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, the film “Mezquite’s Heart” (2019), directed by Mexican filmmaker Ana Laura Calder\u00f3n, was screened on Thursday at the Rainbow Theater in Amman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The film portrays the story of Luc\u00eda, a Yoreme girl in Northern Mexico, who dreams of healing her father’s broken heart by playing the harp, which is traditionally played only by men in her community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
