During a meeting with specialists from the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid and Dry Lands (ACSAD), including Dr. Abdel Moneim Al-Yassin, Director of the Animal Health Program, Dr. Adnan Al-Asaad, Director of the Camel Program, and Dr. Zuhair Al-Ahmad, Director of the Artificial Insemination and Embryos Transfer Program, the Director General of the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Dr. Nizar Haddad stated that NARC is eager to expand their productive cooperation with ACSAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haddad indicated that NARC is looking forward to strengthening the effective partnership with ACSAD in many fields, plants and animals, especially in arid and semi-arid lands, to unify regional efforts for the purpose of developing agricultural scientific research and exchanging experiences and knowledge. Furthermore, to benefit from the outcomes of scientific progress, transfer, and adaptation of modern agricultural technologies to improve agricultural production and efficiency of breeding of the livestock sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACSAD experts appreciated the pioneering role of NARC in developing agricultural scientific research, technology transfer and experience-sharing. They also affirmed ACSAD’s confidence in NARC\u2019s capabilities to adopt modern technologies and their transfer to farmers to build their capacities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sami Alawabdeh, Director of Animal Research Directorate, pointed out the relevance of the expertise and knowledge in enhancing camel breeding field in Jordan and the transfer of this knowledge to farmers through training programs, to be implemented by NARC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Muhammad Al-Araishi, Head of the Animal Health Department, said that this meeting will enable researchers to discuss diseases and challenges facing the camel sector, which will be positively reflected on camel breeding farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
