The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced Sunday at dawn the arrest of the two Palestinian escapees who managed to escape from Gilboa prison- Ayham\u00a0Kamamji and Monadel Nafe\u2019at. This came after the IOF stormed the city of Jenin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The IOF said in a statement, “After about two weeks of chasing, border guard troops worked tonight with the special forces of the General Security Service and the Israeli [Occupation] army in Jenin to arrest the two prisoners, Ayham Kamamji and Monadel Nafe\u2019at.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Public Security Agency and the Public Security Service arrived at the house where the wanted men were staying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, they were arrested and taken for interrogation, according to the official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kamamji’s father said his son called him when they were under siege and said Nafe’at and he are going to turn themselves to the police, out of concern for the lives of people in the area and the family that kept them in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An eyewitness told Roya that during the arrest the IOF threatened to shoot him while he watched the arrest and sat on his knees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continued that four young men emerged from inside the house with their hands raised and they were hit with weapons on their faces, handcuffed, eyes blindfolded and then led to the vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other two men turned themselves in because they kept Kamamji and Nafe\u2019at in their house after they arrived in Jenin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sept. 6, six Palestinians escaped Israeli Occupation Gilboa prison in the north of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gilboa prison is considered one of Israeli Occupation\u2019s most secure facilities, due to the heavy fortification and the security procedures followed inside it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sept. 11, Hebrew media announced the recapture of Zakaria Zubeidi and Muhammad Ardah near Jabal Al-Tur, north of occupied Palestine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This came hours after the Israeli Occupation arrested Yaqoub Qadri and Mahmoud Arda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the Israeli Occupation said that the cost of searching for the six prisoners who escaped from Gilboa prison amounted to more than 100 million shekels (USD 31 million) since their escape earlier this month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
