Jordan allows poultry imports

Tuesday, the Assistant Secretary-General for Marketing at the Ministry of Agriculture Hazem al-Smadi announced that the government has officially allowed the import of whole frozen poultry from a number of approved countries.

The list of countries that Jordan is allowed to import poultry from is available on the World Organization for Animal Health’s official website.

The ministry said the decision was made in order to meet the needs of citizens and residents, maintain ‘safe levels of stock’ and achieve balance in the local market.
