The construction of the new Ruwaished Hospital is proceeding with an accomplishment of 70 per cent, Director of Ruwaished Government Hospital Musa Abu Aqoula said Wednesday.

Abu Aqoula told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the soon-to-be completed facility covers an area of 3,000 square metres, with a capacity of 30 beds, along with an emergency department, two operating theatres and an intensive care unit.

He explained that the hospital, funded by the United Arab Emirates at a cost of JD8-10 million, also includes pediatric, gynecology, orthopedics and internal departments, while nephrology and urology departments will be opened soon by the Ministry of Health.

“Once the construction is completed, the hospital will be provided with advanced medical devices and equipment,” he added, noting that it constitutes “a qualitative leap” in terms of the services provided to citizens and residents of the Kingdom’s far-eastern district.
