A tangible drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, becoming around annual average and bringing back fair weather in the highlands and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the desert.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), a further dip in mercury is predicted on Wednesday, so it will be moderate over the mountains and the plains, and relatively hot in other regions, with low clouds in the northern and central areas of the country.

No significant change on the weather is forecast for Thursday, the JMD said.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Tuesday will range between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 17C or even 12C in the southern highlands. In the port city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 41C and a low of 22C.
