Moderate weather forecast in highlands until Tuesday

Temperatures on Sunday are expected to become around thier annual average, so fair weather conditions will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be hot, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
On Monday, a tangible rise in mercury levels is forecast, marking 3-4 degrees higher than seasonal average and bringing relatively hot weather in the highlands and the plains, and hot conditions in the Badia, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to active winds at times, the JMD added.
Temperatures on Tuesday will dip again few degrees, but hot weather will remain in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will be moderate in the hilly areas and the plains, the JMD predicted.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Sunday will range between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 21C or even 17C in the southern highlands. In the port city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 39C and a low of 26C.
