Temps to rise 6-7 degrees above average today

 The weather on Tuesday is forecast to be moderate in the highlands, relatively hot in the plains and hot in other regions, as temperatures will rise 6-7C above annual average, reaching a high of 33 degrees Celsius in Amman during day time.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), it will be cooler in the capital at night with mercury levels hovering around 22C, while Aqaba will see a sweltering weather with highs near 41C, and lows of 25C.

On Wednesday, temperatures will dip few degrees, but similar weather will continue to persist with westerly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust at times, the JMD said.

A further drop in mercury is expected on Thursday, making fair weather in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to active winds, the JMD added.
