PSD arrests person who robbed money exchange shop

Tuesday, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) arrested a person who robbed a money exchange shop in the al-Hashmi area two weeks ago.

The spokesperson for the PSD said investigations went on for the duration of the two weeks to identify the perpetrator who was wearing a mask when he stole money at gunpoint.

Police officers raided the area where the perpetrator was believed to be Monday evening. After failed attempts to escape, he was taken into custody where he confessed to committing the crime.

PSD noted that the perpetrator is a wanted person and had four previous arrest warrants issued against him.
