Gaza sees 16 new coronavirus deaths, 998 infections

Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip on Monday announced that 16 new deaths and 998 new cases from the coronavirus were recorded during the last 24 hours.

The ministry said in a daily COVID-19 report that 2,344 lab tests were conducted in the coastal enclave, noting that 1,550 patients have recovered, bringing the recoveries to 70,699.

The total caseload reached 91,086 including 19,610 active cases and 777 deaths, the ministry added.
