Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail on Monday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and a chance of spotty showers, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the eastern and southeastern areas, causing poor visibility at times.

As we head into Tuesday, the Kingdom will be affected by a khamasini air depression accompanied by a southwesterly active winds with strong gusts exceeding 60 km/h, stirring dust during day time and leading to low horizontal visibility in the Badia, the JMD said, noting that the weather will be relatively warm, dry and dusty nationwide with overcast skies.

Toward night, winds will change to be westerly as the depression will be centered over Turkey, and low-altitude clouds will build up in some areas, creating a chance of intermittent rain in the northern highlands.

On Wednesday, a relatively cold and wet air mass is forecast to affect the country, pushing mercury levels down and bringing relatively cold and partly cloudy weather in the highlands and plains, while it will be fair in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, with a possibility of light rain in the northern and central regions, the JMD predicted.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius on Saturday, dropping to 10 at night. In the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, it will be much warmer with mercury levels in the 35 degrees Celsius vicinity.
