The Director General of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Nizar Muhaidat, tested positive for the coronavirus Thursday.
Mahadat is subject to home isolation according to the health protocol set by the Ministry of Health, and he continues his work from home.
Muhaydat’s infection comes at a time when the Food and Drug Authority is working hard to monitor the commercial and supply markets to ensure the safety of food and products sold to Jordanians, and the pharmaceutical sector and ensuring their safety.
The Jordanian FDA is also making great efforts in studying and approving the Corona vaccines that are approved in Jordan, with seven different vaccines approved for emergency use in the Kingdom.
The FDA continues to follow up on these vaccines and their side effects, both locally and abroad.
