China confirms 11 new imported COVID-19 cases

China on Thursday announced that 11 new cases from the novel coronavirus were recorded over the last 24 hours, all of them were imported, according to the country’s National Health Commission (NHC).

In a daily statement, the NHC said that no new local COVID-19 infections were reported in the mainland.

“The Chinese mainland had reported 5,115 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 4,939 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 176 confirmed cases,” the commission added.

“The commission had received reports of 90,018 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland, and in all 85,201 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 181 confirmed cases,” the statement further said.
