School learning will be suspended across Jordan effective as of Wednesday until further notice amid an alarming surge in COVID-19 infections.
Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohammad Abu Qudais, Tuesday, said in-school teaching for all grades is suspended, and only faculties will be allowed to work in schools with limited staff. He told journalists in the Prime Ministry that the Council of Higher Education (COHE) has also decided to activate remote teaching in all universities for all courses that had previously been exempted from this decision effective as of Wednesday.
