The official website of the Kingdom’s centenary, www.100jordan.jo, will be launched on Sunday, providing an overview of the progress and the chronology of key events in the history of Jordan.

A statement by Culture Minister Bassem Tweissi, who is also deputy chairperson of the high committee of the centennial celebration of the founding of Jordan, said that celebrating the Kingdom’s centenary is a national and historical occasion that provides further accumulation of knowledge about Jordan and inspires the new generation for a brighter future.

The website highlights national milestones and key achievements, providing real evidence on the process of building the state, and reviews the levers on which the Kingdom’s social, political, military and cultural structures were based, including: the establishment of the Arab Army, the three powers of legislative, executive, and judiciary authorities, as well as other sectors of the state.

It also includes a number of centenary publications, a family library and a selection of books that can be downloaded for free, representing a living memory of historical events that are reinforced by documented narratives.
