18 facilities fined, closed for flouting safety regulations

Authorities on Monday fined and shut down 18 establishments in Amman for violating health protection standards and the Defense Order, an official said.

Amman Governor, Saad Shehab, on Tuesday told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that specialized teams in cooperation with security personnel have carried out inspection tours on stores in various areas of the capital, and imposed legal measures on the violators and lounges that are still serving shisha.
