Covid second-dose vaccination to start Thursday

Inoculation with the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will get underway on Thursday across the Kingdom, a top Ministry of Health official announced on Tuesday.

The second part of the nationwide immunization drive against the respiratory disease comes almost three weeks after the first dose was administrated to eligible groups.

Health Ministry Secretary-General Wa’el Hayajneh said there could be a “minor” adjustment to vaccination appointments to avoid unnecessary overcrowding, indicating that eligible persons will receive an SMS notification of any changes thereto.

Hayajneh called on target groups to come forward and sign up for the vaccination.
