The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) foiled an attempt to smuggle 125,000 narcotic pills in water bottles, an official stated Monday.

In a statement, the Public Security Department said the AND personnel received a tip-off that an unidentified individual was planning to smuggle large quantities of illegal substances into a neighboring country.

After identifying the suspect and the time and method of trafficking, police officers caught the man red-handed at a border crossing, with the narcotic pills hidden in water bottles.
