25 cases of new COVID-19 strain recorded in Jordan

Twenty-five cases of the mutated novel coronavirus strain have emerged until now in Jordan, Health Minister Nazir Obeidat said Thursday.

Obeidat clarified that the infected individuals were discovered after conducting a genetic study on samples of some COVID-19 patients, most of them coming from abroad.

“The virus among the infected still acts within the normal behavior of the mutated strain,” the minister added.
