The weather on Tuesday is expected to be fair in many regions, and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, as temperatures will rise 6-7 degrees above their annual average, the Jordan Meteorological Department JMD said.
On Wednesday, similar weather conditions will continue to persist during day time, the JMD added, predicting that clouds will build up at various altitudes at night, bringing scattered showers in the western parts of the Kingdom, including the city of Aqaba.
Rainfall is expected to be heavier accompanied by thunder and hail at times in some areas, while winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in in the southern and eastern regions.
Jordan on Thursday will be affected by a cold and wet air mass, accompanying a depression from Turkey, pushing temperatures down and making cold and partly cloudy conditions with intermittent rain and thunder storms, the JMD further said.
Winds will be westerly active with strong gusts reaching 40-50 kilometres per hour.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 21 degrees Celsius, 18 in the northern and southern cities, dropping down to 8, 9 and 7 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 28 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 16 at night, the JMD added.
