China sees 24 new coronavirus cases

China on Monday announced that 24 new COVID-19 confirmed infections were recorded during the last 24 hours, the National Health Commission (NHC) said in its daily statement.
The new cases included 21 imported patients and three local infections in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the commission added.
The Chinese mainland reported 30 new asymptomatic cases, the NHC said, noting that 20 new COVID-19 patients have recovered.
“The commission had received reports of 86,021 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,024 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 363 confirmed cases, including 12 cases in serious condition,” according to the statement.
