32 new Covid-19 deaths, 1820 infections reported in Kingdom

– Jordan on Saturday said it had recorded 32 deaths and 1820 new coronavirus cases, bringing the caseload since the beginning of the crisis to 50750, while the death toll stood at 540, a statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health said.
The local cases include 1050 in Amman, 235 in Zarqa, 205 in Irbid, including 89 in Ramtha, 66 in Maan, including 9 in Petra and 63 in Aqaba, 45 in Balqa, 40 in Jerash, 36 in Mafraq, 31 in Karak, 26 in Madaba, 21 in Ajlun and 10 in Tafilah.
Two cases involving Jordanian truck drivers who entered the country via al-Omari Border Crossing, were also reported.
A total of 143 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to designated hospitals, bringing the total number of cases that are currently under treatment in hospitals to 1,167, while the rest of the infected are subject to home isolation.
Also, 117 recovery cases have been recorded in Jordan today, while a total of 11979 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of Covid-19 tests to 1695215.
