Army thwarts drug smuggling attempt

The Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 1,055 palm-sized sheets of hashish from Syria into the Kingdom, a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) source said.

“The JAF will firmly deal with any infiltration or smuggling attempt in order to protect the Kingdom’s borders,” the source added.
