A powerful explosion was heard, Wednesday, in the French capital, Paris, but French media denied that the sound stemmed from an explosion, but rather that a plane broke through the sound barrier.

The French police also wrote on its Twitter account, “There is no explosion. It is about a plane that broke the sound barrier. Do not disturb the emergency lines.”
