A heatwave that affected the Kingdom over the past days is expected to ease off as of Monday, so the weather will change to be moderate over the mountains and plains and relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds are also expected to appear at various altitudes, mainly in the southern and eastern regions, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD added.
Over the next two days, a slight drop in mercury levels is predicted but similar weather conditions will prevail, with high and medium clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the Department further said.
Temperatures for today in Amman are forecast to see a high of 34 degrees Celsius, and a low of 21 degrees, while highs in the port city of Aqaba will jump to 39 degrees, sliding to 26 degrees at night.
