Jordan may announce list of ‘green countries’ on Monday

The government is expected to announce the list of the green status countries on Monday, said a member at the National Committee for Epidemics, Bassam Hijjawi, during an interview on Roya’s Nabd Albalad, on Sunday evening.
Hijjawi denied a list of green status countries that had been shared across social media was accurate.
Jordan has taken various measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 at all levels, but the virus continues to threaten all countries across the world, he added.
Hijjawi said further coronavirus cases could be recorded among students with the return to schools this week, but the public should stop being concerned about it and just learn to coexist with the virus.
A former Transport Minister, Saud Nusairat, said Jordan should reopen its airports but with strict restrictions to be implemented.
Nusairat added Royal Jordanian losses are estimated at JD 17 million per month due to the closure of airports in the country.
