Settlers storm al-Aqsa compound under Israeli police escort

Around 90 Jewish extremist settlers on Sunday broke into the al-Aqsa Mosque / Haram al-Sharif compound in occupied Jerusalem, a Palestinian source confirmed.

In a statement to Petra’s reporter in Ramallah, General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, said the raids were carried out under the protection of Israeli police, adding that the settlers performed provocative “Talmudic” rituals.
