Israel’s Ministry of Health recorded 101 new cases from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, and no new deaths, bringing the total number of infections to 19,338 since the outbreak of the pandemic.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said no new COVID-19 fatalities were registered in Israel, as the death toll stood unchanged at 302.

The Israeli newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, quoted the ministry saying “some 36 cases are in serious conditions, of which 27 are on ventilators, while 15,415 patients have recovered.”

The Israeli government mulls imposing a closure on some neighborhoods, south of Tel Aviv, in the wake of recording a high number of COVID-19 cases in this area, especially among foreign workers.
