Moderate weather forecast for three days

A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday, so fair weather conditions will prevail until Monday in the highlands and the plains, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, the Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Chance for scattered showers are also forecast on Sunday, mainly in the eastern and southern parts of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunder at times, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.

Mercury levels will rise few degrees on Tuesday, but similar weather conditions will persist, the JMD noted.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach a high of 29 degrees Celsius the capital, Amman, and 25 degrees in the northern cities, dipping to 17 and 12 degrees respectively at night. Highs in the port city of Aqaba will rise to 39 degrees, while lows will stand at 24 at night.
