US reports 450 new COVID-19 deaths

The United States recorded 450 new deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest daily death toll recorded in the country since two months, according to data from the Johns Hopkins University early Tuesday.

The total number of COVID-19 fatalities in the US, the world’s most affected country by the pandemic, has reached 110,900, while the caseload hit more than 1.955 million, the Baltimore-based university’s figures showed.

Some 506 thousand patients in America have recovered from the virus.
