The death toll from the novel coronavirus climbed to 3,169, with 11 new deaths during the last 24 hours, the Chinese National Health Commission (NHC) reported on Thursday.

In a statement, the Commission announced it had received 80,793 reports of confirmed cases and 3,169 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland, and in all 62,793 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital.
