China coronavirus death toll rises to 259

The death toll in China’s coronavirus outbreak rose to 259, while the number of confirmed infections rose to 11,791, Chinese authorities announced on Saturday.

China’s National Health Commission said in a statement that 1,795 patients remain in critical condition, while 243 people recovered as of January 31.

It said there are 2,102 new confirmed cases in total, of those are 13 in Hong Kong, 7 in Macao and 10 in Taiwan.
