Israeli forces turn Jerusalem into military barracks

Israeli occupation forces have turned the occupied city of Jerusalem into a military barracks by deploying thousands of soldiers in addition to members of the Israeli police, the Palestinian Popular Committee for Resisting the Wall and Settlements said Thursday.

In a statement, the Committee said Israeli forces have tightened their military measures in Jerusalem, its surroundings, and its old town, due to the so-called “Jewish Holocaust Memorial Day’.

“They closed a number of roads in the Old City and prevented citizens from entering all the streets leading to the Wall of Al-Buraq,” the statement added.
