Huawei launches 3rd edition of ICT competition

Chinese telecom giant, Huawei, launched on Saturday its annual Huawei Middle East ICT Competition in Shenzhen.
Representing Jordan at the contest were Zaid Afana and Mohammad Abu Shukur from the Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Mansour Hmoud from the Yarmouk University, under the supervision of Ashraf Sabha.
In September, Huawei had partnered with the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) for the launch of the third edition of the competition, which aims at developing a comprehensive and integrated technology system.
It also pursues the goal of preparing talented individuals in the ICT field to lead the future of technology in their country in line with their country’s plans and strategies for digital transformation to benefit from digitization in advancing social and economic development.
In a press statement, Sabha said the participation in this competition will increase the three students’ awareness, competence and expertise, thereby contributing to building the digital economy.
