Palestinian prisoner dies in Israeli Jail

 a Palestinian prisoner held in Israeli jails, has died of cancer and complications resulting from medical mistakes while he was being treated in Israeli hospitals.

The 36-year-old passed away early Tuesday inside the Ramla prison hospital, a Palestinian source announced.

In a statement , the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that Israeli prison administration early today informed the commission and Abu Diyak’s family of his death.

Sami Abu Diyak, from Silat al-Dahr village in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, was detained on July 17, 2002, and was sentenced to a triple life imprisonment and thirty years, of which he spent 17 years. He was diagnosed with a bowel cancer in September 2015 and his health condition began to deteriorate as a result of medical mistakes by the Israeli Soroka hospital where he underwent surgery, leading to severe renal and pulmonary failure, which further worsened his condition.
